International Symposium for Soft Matter Science and Technology was initiated in 2017 by Dr. Stephen Z. D. Cheng, member of the National Academy of Engineering (USA). This symposium has been successfully held in Guangzhou and Chengdu since 2017. This symposium has received positive and enthusiastic responses from the soft matter community, and greatly promoted the academic exchanges between the domestic and foreign scholars in physics, chemistry, biology, materials, engineering and other fields related to soft matter. The 3rd SMST is scheduled to be held on November 20-24, 2019 on the Songjiang Campus, Donghua University. The symposium is hosted by Center for Advanced Low-dimensional Materials (CALM) and State Key Laboratory for Modification of Chemical Fibers and Polymer Materials (SKLFPM), Donghua University. The symposium is also jointly organized by South China University of Technology, Peking University, Sichuan University and Xiamen University. The theme of this year is “Chemistry and Physics of Supramolecular Assembly”. The symposium will adopt the pattern like “Gordon Research Conference” and a certain number of senior and junior scholars will be invited to give oral presentations. There will be no other oral reports. Poster sections will also be included to promote academic discussions, especially among junior researchers and students. The organization committee cordially invites you to attend this symposium and build up connections with the community.
